You are looking at the world first mini chopper packed with twin rotor design, the Tandem-Z. 3 Channel helicopter (only 25 grams !!!). It is made from unique materials to withstand crashes. This mini helicopter is packed with break through technology ! It has twins rotor blade located at the front & Rear end, when the two blades start to spin, it creates a sophisticated gyroscopic effect that makes the helicopter hover stably or to move in forward, backward, left and right direction. You must read the instruction very carefully to fully understand the myth of controlling this helicopter.

How does it go forward & Backward ?


The front rotor blade is built at an angle about 15 degree counter-clockwise and the Rear rotor blade is built at an angle about 15 degree clockwise. When the rear rotor spin faster than the front one, it will drive the helicopter forward and vice versa. But at this point, we still haven't figure out what's exactly is the mechanism behind the design, but all we know is that the front blade is adjustable and this helicopter is likely to become the best selling one in 2008.


Although the Tandem is too titchy to carry troops or heavy artillery, it's more than capable of lifting your spirits (groan!) as it aka-aka-aka's around the room. And that's no surprise because this is the world's first twin-rotor micro chopper. It's more fun than a Sea Knight load of fun things from Funville.

Last year, Silverlit had brought to all RC fans a major shock with the introduction of their Tandem Z helicopter. A full 3 channels control makes it capable to go forward, left, right, slightly backward. However, a lot of customer were dissatisified with its quality, they said it is too easy to break, and they don't like the weird front and rear stabilizer attaching to the Tandem Z.

This year Syma had finally introudced their own version of Tandem Z, built with the coaxial blade platform, it provides double the stability in compares to a Tandem Z, you don't need to trim the helicopter constantly to get it stable.

And you can manually adjust the flying style. For example if you want the helicopter to lean more to the forward, you can press the button on the right shoulder a few times, it will make the Rear rotor Blade spins faster than the front rotor, making the helicopter tends to fly forward. And vice versa, if you want the helicopter to fly significantly backward.

And you can also try the neutral flying mode, which is helicopter not leaning to either forward or backward, I personally like this the most, the easier mode to control.

Get one of each color of replacement tail propellers (tail rotors) for the Mini Heli Infrared Indoor Helicopter, Bell Heli IR Indoor RC Helicopter, Picco Z, Havoc Heli and clones. This kit includes one Red , one Yellow , and one Blue replacement tail propeller. It is a good idea to keep a few spare tail props on hand to let you keep flying in case yours is damaged in a crash or by trying to bend it back into shape. It is fairly easy to damage the tail propeller if you keep the power while skimming off the floor after crashing, getting stuck in furniture or impacting against a ceiling fan.
